QuietMeta for desktop

One payment. No subscription. No account to keep it working.

19.00 EUR excluding VAT

22.80 EUR including French VAT at 20 percent, the price a private buyer in France pays. VAT is worked out at checkout from the billing address you enter, because for digital services the tax due is the one of your own country. A business established in another EU country that enters a valid VAT number pays 19.00 EUR, the tax being accounted for under the reverse charge.

A perpetual licence for QuietMeta Desktop, major version 1. It does not expire.

One computer. Three activations, so reinstalling Windows on it costs you nothing.

Every 1.x update included. A future version 2 would be a separate purchase.

Whole folders in one pass, right-click cleaning in the file explorer, no size limit.

No advertising, no telemetry, and every outbound request blocked at process level.

Windows today. macOS is not available yet and is not part of this purchase.

Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details are entered on their page and never reach our servers. We receive your email address, your billing address and, if you give one, your VAT number.

How delivery works

The moment Stripe confirms the payment, a licence key is generated and emailed to the address you entered at checkout. It normally arrives within a minute. Keep that message: it is the only copy we send you. If it goes missing, write to contact@quietmeta.app from the same address and we will send it again.

The key carries your name and is checked on your own machine, with no connection to anything: nothing calls home, so a licence keeps working on a plane, behind a firewall, or years from now if this website no longer exists.

To use it: download the installer from the desktop app page, run it, and open QuietMeta. It starts on its activation screen. Paste the key into the field and click Activate — spaces and line breaks from the email are fine. Your name then appears in the title bar. That page also explains the blue screen Windows shows the first time, and why.

Right of withdrawal

Consumers in the European Union normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. Digital content is the exception: when you ask for it to be delivered straight away and acknowledge the consequence, the right ends on delivery. That is what the switch above records, and it is the reason the key can reach you in a minute rather than in a fortnight.

If you would rather keep the full 14 days, do not buy here. Write to contact@quietmeta.app and we will hold the delivery until the period has run out.

This does not touch the statutory guarantee of conformity. If the software does not do what this site says it does, tell us and we will refund you.

What this software does, and what it does not

QuietMeta reads the metadata and signed provenance records inside files you own, and removes the categories you choose, then re-reads the result to show exactly what has gone. It works on the container of the file, so image data is never decoded or recompressed.

It makes no claim about markers hidden inside pixels or wording. No third party can currently measure those, so no honest tool can say it erases them. What it reports is a count of what it removed, and that count is checked against the exported file. The full description is on the desktop app page.
